The New Battlestar Galactica is perhaps the best TV show in the last five years. Most of you are too young to remember it, but I remember watching the original show as a kid on prime time. When the new one came out, I figured it would suck with Starbuck and Boomer being female, but the initial 4 hour movie just had me on the edge of my seat and when I heard there was a TV show I tuned in. Haven't been disappointed yet. The depth of the show is very refreshing as well.

Both Stargates are still good, and while I love 24, I prefer it on a DVD.

FX also has some top notch shows in The Shield, Nip/Tuck, Rescue Me and Over There. In fact, with the sole exception being BSG, FX has the best 1 hour shows on TV.

nobody mentions Lost??

or Prison Break?

Lost has much better writing but PB is a nice fun roller coaster ride. Sometimes, it's not about the writing as much as taking the audience along for the ride.

And on a side note I'm not very happy with SG:1 and the religious theme this season.

I want to see Lost. I will wait untill it is off the air and get the DVDs. There is only so much you can watch in a week.

Also another show on TV right now which I find quite enjoyable is ROME. Mrs Dood became really hooked on it. She watches it as soon as it comes on. Me I will record it with the Hi-Def DVR and watch at my leisure.

I liked the first 3 seasons of it (mostly during the catch ups when they show like 4 episodes at once heh heh).

OMG! I love that show! The Buckets rule lol! It's like an English All in the family, except Archie's a woman. Only problem is that in America it comes on our PBS and there is no set time for it, so I catch it when I can. Same thing with The Red Green show. It's a Canadian comedy, but we rarely get it down here.
